You learn through experience how to resolve a wide variety of problems common to all business ventures. This is the only way to build long-term achievements.
The competitive advantages of a home based business help to build success, too. Home businesses can be operated part-time and with relatively lower start-up and operational costs. These lower costs decrease the time needed to generate positive cash flow. Not being able to fill that "profitability gap" is a major reason for many business failures. Lower costs also imply that if failure does occur, disadvantages are minimized.
Additionally, one can bounce back more quickly and effectively in a new business build up on the lessons learned from mistakes. He or she will consider that experience not a failure, but a chance to build up that critical entrepreneurial aptitude.
Don't get the wrong idea, however. The goal is not to fail in a home based business, but to at least take that possibility into consideration.
