A simple smile, a gentle wave, or a cheery "Hi" or "Hello" is all that is needed. Keep it short, sweet, and pleasant, or they may think you are hitting on them. Although some locals will greet you instantly, the majority will expect you to do the first move.
3. Say ËSalamat" or "thank you"
The Western practice of thanking people frequently and unnecessarily is something that majority of Filipinos really like.
4. Say "I'm sorry" and you will never be sorry
