A Television Special About Alcohol Dependence Symptoms Leads To Dismal Feelings About A Woman's Drinking Issues
Sharon had been engaging in abusive drinking behavior since her freshman year in college. Now, nine years later, she drank more than ever. One Saturday night when she was feeling a bit run down, Sharon made up her mind to stay home, relax, and watch TV. When the next business day arrived, true to her word, Sharon called her doctor and made an appointment. While she was waiting for the day of her appointment to arrive, she went on the Internet and did a search for alcoholism symptoms. Especially noteworthy were the following symptoms or signs: making excuses to drink at virtually every opportunity, sleep problems, serious relationship and work-related problems, sneaking extra drinks before social events, and increasing irritability.
In short, due to the fact that Sharon manifested all of these signs she went further in her online search and found numerous blogs and websites that discussed various alcoholism symptoms and warning signs. One of the signs that really took hold of her attention was the following: "Do you frequently drink after promising yourself that you won't?"
Another alcohol dependency sign that captured her attention was the following: "Have friends annoyed you by objecting to your irresponsible and excessive drinking?" A third alcoholic symptom was the following: "Do you desire a drink when you first get up in the morning?"
The final alcoholic warning sign that made her feel slightly ill at ease about her irresponsible drinking was the following: "Has your ambition diminished since you started drinking on a more routine basis?" When Sharon read this sign she visibly recognized that drinking had become a severe problem in her life because of her diminished energy level and also because she stopped pursuing her goals and her dreams.
After reflecting on all of these unhealthy alcohol dependency symptoms and signs, Sharon at first felt depressed. Then something exhilarating took place. She realized that she was going to see her doctor about her irresponsible drinking and she also reflected on the fact that that she would discuss her alcohol dependency warning symptoms and signs.
Indeed, for the first time in quite a few months, Sharon honestly felt a sense of optimism because she was facing her irresponsible drinking and was at long last ready to make the needed alterations so that she could restore the life that was slipping away.
