A Gorgeous Present For My Gorgeous Fiance - White Gold Cross Necklace
I wanted to get my wife something extremely special for our anniversary. This will be our first anniversary and I just really wanted to express my love and my devotion with a great gift. I was looking at a lot of white gold jewelry. This is because my wife enjoys silver better than gold, however I need to give her something of the greatest value. I come across a silver cross necklace, but this isn't exactly what I'm searching for. I want something of value, but not quite as costly as the platinum cross necklace I found!
I continue looking. As I am looking I think about my gorgeous partner. I think about how strong her faith is and how much I admire her for that. I want to buy her something which shows my respect, my adoration, and my appreciation. I find some very pretty white gold cross earrings, but she already has tons of earrings. Thus I continue looking.
I finally find what I am searching for--a white gold cross necklace. It is plain, simple, and totally gorgeous--just like my wife. I am positive she will love it. I instinctively order it the moment I find it.
Unfortunately, the way that I am, I am completely confident when I buy the present, but the time between then and giving it to her I convince myself it was terrible, I fret and worry. What if a white gold cross necklace isn't the right gift to give my partner? She deserves the best, is it the best I can do?
So, following making myself sick for a fortnight distressing about my wife's reaction to her new white gold cross necklace, I present it to her.
I hold my breath.
She begins weeping! Oh my goodness, what have I done? I nearly start weeping too, I try to comfort her and then she looks at me, and she says,
"Dear, this is the most gorgeous white gold cross necklace necklace I have ever looked at and I feel blessed to have a spouse like you that would think to give it to me."
Okay, good, I can start breathing again, she does not hate me... hang on, she really likes it...wow, I picked something really great for my wife? Well, that's what she says.
I now know that when I'm looking to buy jewelry for my wife, I should always go with my gut instinct. I have known her long enough to know what she likes and she wears that white gold cross necklace daily, so I'm pretty sure I did a good job.
