4. When you finally finish your piece of writing, read it out loud. Nothing will catch dumb mistakes or errors more quickly, I have learned the hard way! It does take a small amount of time but that is time well spent. Your ear will catch things that your eye misses. If you are sharing your office with other people, just speak quietly. Even if English is not your first language, this method will help you to notice any mistakes or to add useful content.
